Janet is the Councilwoman for the 3rd District, which encompasses portions of the Hockessin, Pike Creek, Polly Drummond, and Greater Newark areas. She was elected to this position in 2010. Prior to holding this office, Councilwoman Kilpatrick worked for the Republican House of Representatives as a liaison with the Counties, DelDOT, and the Conservation Districts.
Since moving to Delaware, Janet has been involved in the community, leading endeavors such as the founding of the Hockessin 4th of July parade, taking a leadership role in GHADA, and being a member of several community Boards: PAL, 141 Bridge Alliance, Hockessin-Greenville Rotary, and Wilmington and Western Railroad. She has received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Hockessin-Pike Creek Valley Rotary Club and the National Community Service Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Janet lives in Hockessin with her husband Vince Lofink. They have a blended family of six children and two grandchildren.
