Happy Earth Day!

Now more than ever it is important to take the opportunity to celebrate and honor our earth by heeding the call to take action on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

This year’s theme is “Climate Action”.

On April 22, 1970, the original Earth Day was created in response to the numerous environmental crisis events taking place at that time such as oil spills and increased air pollution. On that day, nearly 20 million Americans united and organized events to protest the lack of environmental awareness and launched an environmental movement to move the planet forward in a new direction. The first Earth Day is credited for starting the modern-day environmental awareness movement.

Even though we are not able to gather this year on Earth Day 2020, we can do things right from our homes to celebrate the day.
