Pottery Studio
The Art Studio is home to a large and active pottery community. We have classes for potters of all levels. Learn everything from hand building and wheel throwing to glazing and firing techniques. Our amazing instructors and studio assistants are on hand to guide and inspire you. The Pottery Studio has 16 wheels and an area for hand building. We have various kilns including high-fire, low-fire and Raku.

Six 3-hour classes. Learn hand-building, throwing on the potter’s wheel and glazing. All levels. Additional $45 glazing and firing fee. Clay is not included in the class cost or material fee and is available for purchase from the studio. Tools may also be purchased in class at an additional cost. Also open Thursdays for open studio. *No class on 7/4 Ages 18+
PLEASE NOTE: There will ONLY BE LOW FIRING AVAILABLE. Due to outdoor construction, we will not have the ability to high fire or raku fire this session.

CERAMIC TRINKET DISH WITH SILKSCREEN DESIGN

One 2-hour class. $45R/$50NR. First, build a functional pottery piece using introductory hand building techniques like slab rolling and pinching. Then, learn to decorate your piece using glaze, stamps and other decorative tools. Items will be picked up at a later date due to the firing process. Materials are included in the cost of class. Ages 16+

INTRO TO CLAYPRINTING

One 6-hour class. $66R/$71NR. Ready to experience something completely different? Learn how Mitch Lyons' unique printmaking process changed the way clay can be used. You will be working from a slab of clay, adding layers of colored clay slips, pastels, textures, and imagery. From this the monoprints will be pulled. Even if you’ve never worked with clay or know nothing about printmaking, you’ll be excited to learn how to pull your very own clay monoprints. All levels welcome. Additional $30 material fee. Ages 18+
Student supply list (optional): apron, cottage cheese / yogurt plastic containers for slip, any textures or stencils, etc. you would like to use.
