New this fall! Join The Absalom Jones Senior Center and The New Castle County Art Studio for a series of art classes just for Seniors! Topics will include clay hand-building and drawing with different mediums (see below for more details). The series invites artists of all levels to join. Clay Handbuilding
Instructor: Bridgette Zack
First, build a functional pottery piece using introductory hand building techniques like slab rolling and pinching. Then, learn to decorate your piece using glaze, stamps and other decorative tools. Register for one or all workshops.

Drawing Studio
Instructor: Erin Schwinn
This course is designed for beginner artists who have an interest in learning how to draw or sketch -- or simply want to improve their skills. In this course, you're going to learn the processes and techniques that you need to learn to bring the scenes you see in your daily life to paper. No experience necessary. Come and learn to draw with us in a relaxed and supportive community! Register for one or all series. Must commit to attending all 4 classes in the series registered for.
