The Traffic Services Unit investigates and reconstructs all incidents involving a fatality, serious injury, or a departmental vehicle involved in an accident with injuries. Trained personnel using a computer-aided program to accomplish the reconstruction of an accident. Traffic and accident data is analyzed and provided to other department personnel to enable the effective deployment of officers. The unit is also responsible for training officers in accident investigation, the use of radar, and drunk driving law enforcement. These officers also develop and present traffic safety programs to the public.
