1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

New Castle County Libraries invite you to participate in this free program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she begins kindergarten. The Appoquinimink Community Library, an integral part of the Middletown area for over 50 years, offers services and activities for toddlers, children, teens, adults and seniors. Besides our collections of books, dvd's, cd's, audiobooks, and magazines, we also offer, through the Delaware Division of Libraries, electronic collections of books, audiobooks, and magazines.  We have wi-fi and 12 desktop computers available for public use.  We also offer faxing, scanning and printing.  Check out our programs in the Happenings guide below or on our Events Listing above!
