Weekly Themes and Friday Fun Days

Each week our full-day recreation camps will have a different theme. Crafts, games, activities, and field trips may be based off of that theme. Friday Fun Days are designed for campers and counselors to dress up according to the weekly theme.

Week 1, June 20-23: Summer Celebration; Friday Fun Day – Beach Bash

Kick the summer off with outdoor games, crafts, sports and a variety of “get to know you” activities. End the week with a beach bash party!

Week 2, June 26-30: Nature Nuts; Friday Fun Day – Favorite Animal Day

How do plants grow? What do wild animals need to survive? Campers will study nature all week long and learn what it takes to live in the wild and be eco-friendly!

Week 3, July 3-7: Party in the USA; Friday Fun Day – Red White and Blue Day

Celebrate America and enjoy a short week of Red, White, and Blue. Learn about the USA and what makes us the melting pot of the world.

Week 4, July 10-14: Lift Off!; Friday Fun Day – Space Day

Where do shooting stars come from? Is the Moon made of cheese? Are aliens real? Find out cool space facts and stargaze with some astronauts this week!

Week 5, July 17-21: Color Wars; Friday Fun Day – Camp Color Day

Each camp will be assigned a color and points will be awarded for camp spirit, team challenges, wearing team colors, and more.

Week 6, July 24-28: Anything Goes; Friday Fun Day – Pajama Day

It’s wacky tacky week and we’re striving to be silly and willing to be wild! Talk backwards, create ooey gooey slime, find your twin, learn a new song!

Week 7, July 31-Aug 4: Camp’s Got Talent; Friday Fun Day – Talent Day

Who has a hidden talent they are willing to share? Find out in the Friday Fun-Day Talent Show!
