Governor Jack Markell, New Castle County Executive Thomas P. Gordon and other officials will thank Salesianum students for their fundraising efforts on behalf of homeless veterans in Delaware.
During the 2014-15 school year, students at Salesianum raised more than $200,000 for the Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans. In the following year, students held a drive to collect toiletries and household items for veterans who were recently housed through programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and the Veterans Administration as part of the Delaware Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness.
