O. Floyd Corbin sworn in to Human Resources Advisory Board

County Executive Thomas P. Gordon recently administered the Oath of Office for the Human Resources Advisory Board for its newest member, human resources expert O. Floyd Corbin.

Corbin, of Hockessin, is currently director of human resources for Community Transit of Delaware County, Inc. Previously he was human resources manager for the Sara Lee Corporation/Ball Park Brands in Philadelphia, human resources manager for Campbell Soup Company in Omaha, Neb. and a Consultant for the Christina School District. He was also a member of the Maryland Commission on Human Relations.

“Floyd Corbin is imminently qualified to serve on the Human Resources Advisory Board, and we are lucky that he is willing to serve on this important panel,” Gordon said. “I want to thank him and all the civically minded people that serve on our boards and commissions.”

Corbin is a graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

The Human Resources Advisory Board advises the chief human resources officer, county executive and County Council on the improvement of human resources administration in county employment.
