Newark, DE -- New Castle County Police are currently investigating a harassment complaint involving a family who resides in the community of Autumnwood in northeast New Castle County.
County Police have responded on two occasions to a home in the community of Autumnwood for reports of items that had been left at the residence, which were directed toward the
New Castle County Executive Thomas P. Gordon and his Chief Administrative Officer David Grimaldi.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, County Police responded to the home after an opinionated letter was found by the homeowner. Officers were summoned to the home again yesterday [Tuesday, Nov. 5] when other items were found which contained anti-Semitic messages directed at Chief Administrative Officer Grimaldi.
County Executive Gordon and Chief Administrative Officer Grimaldi have never resided in this community, nor do they have any connection to those living in the development.
Detectives are currently conducting interviews with area residents and attempting to determine a motive for this incident.
