Police are investigating the injury of two men in a suspected home invasion in the Chelsea Estates neighborhood near New Castle.
A report of a shooting about 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, sent police to the first block of Morris Road, where they found the injured men.
A 28-year-old, shot in the upper body, was taken by helicopter to Christiana Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, Cpl. Tracey Duffy said.
The other victim was a 23-year-old with facial injuries, whose condition was not released.
With the investigation in preliminary stages, police plan to release more information as it beomes available.
