PIKE CREEK, Del. – Santa Claus and his pony are scheduled to visit Carousel Park & Equestrian Center as part of New Castle County’s Christmas and holiday festivities.
Visitors will be able to photograph Santa and his pony, and enjoy a visit to Santa’s workshop, make crafts, and take a hayride around the park.
“We in New Castle County have made family-oriented events like this a high priority during this festive holiday season,” County Executive Tom Gordon said. “I have been so impressed with the thousands of people that have taken part in the Tree Lightings at Glasgow Park and Rockwood Mansion.
“Let the holiday cheer continue on Sunday,” he added.
Although, the National Weather Service has forecast a 30 percent chance of snow this weekend, the County Executive has directed Community Services Administrator Regina Marini to continue with the event as scheduled.
