New Castle County police are seeking tips about a fatal shooting Tuesday evening in the Garfield Park neighborhood near New Castle.
A report of shots fired sent police to the first block of Karlyn Drive about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, Officer JP Piser said.
Arriving officers found 53-year-old Lonnie M. Dixon suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The injured man was transported to an area hospital where he was declared dead, Piser said.
Detectives -- investigating the shooting as a homicide -- will release more information as it becomes available, he said.
