County Executive Meyer to host first-ever Delaware Facebook Live Town Hall

New Castle, DE – Tomorrow, Thursday, March 9 at 4 p.m., County Executive Matthew Meyer will host a first-ever Delaware Facebook Live video town hall on the New Castle County Facebook page (www.facebook.com/nccde). Members of the public are encouraged to share their questions and ideas now by submitting a comment through the link at the top of County’s Facebook page. Individuals can also submit questions to the County Executive through the county’s Facebook page during the live event this Thursday.

“We must take every opportunity to communicate directly with New Castle County residents. We want to hear their ideas and have conversations about moving our county forward,” Meyer said. “Thursday’s town hall provides a convenient way for members of our community to get online through their smart phones or computers, receive answers from me to their questions and learn more about our work to improve county government. I hope you will join me.”

Tomorrow’s virtual town hall is Meyer’s second use of this interactive social media communications platform. A February 7 Facebook Live video event with Meyer and Wilmington artist James Wyatt has been viewed more than 2,300 times by members of the public.
