Residents can upload photos through www.nccde.org/photos
New Castle – As New Castle County continues its work to redesign the county’s flagship website and embraces new ways to communicate with members of the public about county programs and services, County Executive Matthew Meyer today enlisted local residents to submit their own photographs that showcase life in New Castle County by uploading them through www.nccde.org/photos. Selected photos submitted by residents will be displayed on New Castle County websites, marketing flyers and other promotional materials. Pictures of county libraries, parks and county events are encouraged, along with images that reflect the area’s vibrant communities and scenic spaces.
“Photographs serve as powerful windows into the people and places that make New Castle County a premier destination to live, work and visit and we are committed to projecting images that reflect the wonderful diversity of our communities, culture and natural landscapes,” County Executive Matthew Meyer said. “We want to enlist each one of our residents to help as ambassadors for their hometown. Whether you have the latest in camera technology or just your Smartphone, take some time to capture a moment, event or a place that represents New Castle County to you and share it with us.”
Photo submissions are being sought by New Castle County through May 31.
Residents should visit nccde.org/photos to connect to the photo sharing website flickr where they can review submission guidelines, view photos already shared by community members and submit images. Please note: residents will be prompted to create a flickr account and join the New Castle County flickr group on that site to upload their photos.
