New Castle, DE – New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, along with representatives from Dot Foods, will host a community information event on Wednesday, August 7 at FOP Lodge 5 (2774 Red Lion Road, Bear, DE) at 6 p.m. Members of Dot Foods will be on hand to provide construction updates, field questions from the public, and provide an updated timeline as well as specific information on available positions.
“I along with members of the surrounding communities are looking forward to receiving an update from Dot Foods representatives,” said County Executive Matt Myer. “I am especially eager to getting a clearer picture of the positive economic impacts a facility like Dot will have on the community when it comes to career and other opportunities.”

As construction progresses, Dot Foods will be hiring for numerous positions including warehouse workers, office staff, drivers, and other positions. The Dot Foods will hold its initial hiring event will be held on August 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Route 9 Library and Innovation Center 3022 New Castle Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720. Two additional hiring events will take place at the library on Tuesday, August 20, and Wednesday, August 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. each day.
