The public week ahead schedule for New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer August 19-25

Tuesday, August 20 at 1:30 p.m. – County Executive Meyer will take part in an NCC Cares grant presentation to the Teen Warehouse. The Teen Warehouse is designed as a hub for teenagers to access social services as well as recreational activities. Howard High School, 401 East 12th Street, Wilmington, DE

Wednesday, August 21 at 11:30 a.m. – The county executive and members of Delaware’s environmental community will hold a press conference to unveil the County Executive’s “Green Agenda” of environmental protection ordinances. The public will have the opportunity to weigh in on these ordinances, some of which are still in draft phase. Rockwood Carriage House, Wilmington, DE

Thursday, August 22 at 12 p.m. – The county executive will attend the Summer Development Shop Finale with CODE Differently and staff from New Castle County’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Thursday, August 23 at 6 p.m. – The county executive will attend an unveiling of a new State of Delaware historical marker in Brandywine Village in Wilmington. The marker will denote the 4,300 French soldiers who passed through town en route to defeat General Cornwallis at Yorktown. Brandywine Mills Plaza, Wilmington, DE

Thursday, August 23 at 7 p.m. – The county executive will attend the 2019 Delaware Association of Police (DAP) Pushmobile Derby Awards Ceremony, held at the DAP Hall, 2201 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE
