New Castle, DE – New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer has announced the launch of New Castle County’s newest production, PodCounty, a long-form podcast featuring in-depth interviews of compelling personalities that make the county a special place to live, work and play.
“There are tremendous stories and storytellers in New Castle County and PodCounty provides a platform to share those insights with residents of our county,” said County Executive Meyer. “PodCounty fits in perfectly with the existing productions we currently offer on New Castle County Television, with our Happenings Guide, and with our social media platforms, all to bring the latest in content about New Castle County. This podcast is a must-listen to anyone who has an interest in the county or those who make the county run.”
PodCounty’s debut episode features New Castle County Clerk of the Peace Ken Boulden, the “senior clerk of the peace for the United States of America” and key figure in the fight to end child marriage. Other guests include the longest tenured member of New Castle County Council Penrose Hollins, former two-term Governor Jack Markell and author and transgender rights activist Sarah McBride, with additional episodes released monthly.
The podcast is hosted by former News Journal photojournalist and current county Social and Multimedia Manager Kyle Grantham, with occasional cameos by County Executive Meyer and other members of county leadership.
