County Executive Tom Gordon was pleased that more than 600 people attended New Castle County Government’s Job and Career Fair held Wednesday in the Garfield PAL Center.
All told, 636 potential applicants sign in at the March 26th fair, County Human Resources officials said.
The County Executive attended the Job and Career Fair and spoke with some of the job seekers.
“It was important to hold this event to help us expand the applicant pool for the County jobs that have become available,” County Executive Gordon said. “The larger and more diverse the applicant pool, the better we’ll be able to pick the best and the brightest.
“I commend Acting Chief of Human Resources Christine Dunning and her staff for putting on such a fine event,” he added.
County Executive Gordon and Chief Dunn thanked all the County Departments and Row Officers for their help with the job fair.
