[ARCHIVED] Help prevent sediment migration off of active construction sites during upcoming rain events

Given our recent snowfall and forecasted precipitation, the Department of Land Use requests adherence to the following recommendations to help prevent sediment migration off of active construction sites during rain events.

First, please have adequate personnel on site to ensure flooding within the streets does not occur due to inlet protection becoming overwhelmed or clogged. Secondly, please ensure all of your erosion and sediment controls are in good working order and not in disrepair prior to the rain event. We believe these recommendations will be of great benefit in preserving your construction site during inclement weather.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to the Department’s Engineering Division at [email protected]
