New Castle, DE – Today, New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, along with Chief Financial Officer Michael Smith remind taxpayers that they can make their sewer fee payments online without a fee through New Castle County’s third-party vendor, Paymentus. Taxpayers can access this service on the County’s website www.nccde.org by clicking on “Online Tax and Sewer Payments” or over the phone by calling 1-877-225-7351. Taxpayers can pay using credit cards, debit cards, or e-check services from your checking account without a fee.
While the New Castle County Government Center will not be open to the public, a secure drop box is conveniently setup where taxpayers are welcomed to “drop off” their payments without having to leave their vehicle. This service will be offered at the front of the Government Building beginning Monday, February 22nd through Friday, March 5th. Sewer payments must be received by NCC no later than March 1, 2021 to avoid late payment penalties.
Other payment methods include:
- Mail payments to PO BOX 781177 Philadelphia, PA 19178-1177; please do NOT mail cash
- Use your own banking institution to send an electronic payment to New Castle County at PO Box 781177, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1177
Taxpayers are reminded to always put their account number on all payment information for it to be applied timely and accurately.
County officials are discouraging cash payments, as change is not available while the building is closed. Any over payments will be applied to the account as a credit toward future bills.
For concerns, taxpayers can call 302-395-5340 and speak to someone in the County’s Treasury department, keeping in mind as we get closer to the March 1st deadline, call volume will increase. Due to the anticipated high call volume Treasury also encourages people to reach out by sending an email to [email protected].
