New Castle, DE – New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer today applauded the announcement by The Center for Digital Government naming New Castle County as the national winner of their fifth annual Government Experience Awards. In a year challenged by a worldwide pandemic, County IS and Department leaders raised the bar with customer-centric digital services and emerging technologies to safeguard countywide data and network operations.
The Center for Digital Government is a national research and advisory institute that has benchmarked state and local government progress with technology for over 20 years. GovX awards recognize the policies, best practices, achievements, and alignment of technology with leadership goals to radically improve citizen experiences and services.
Taking 1st place for the 2021 Overall GovX Award brings national recognition and affirms that New Castle County is at the forefront of the government experience movement. “Under New Castle County CTO Mike Hojnicki, we continue to push what our government can do for residents of New Castle County,” said County Executive Matt Meyer. “We continue to lead the way for digital availability and offerings in New Castle County.”
