[ARCHIVED] Register of Wills Ciro Poppiti Celebrates - 10th (11th!) Anniversary of Evening Hours in Middletown

REGISTER OF WILLS CIRO POPPITI CELEBRATES

10th (AND 11th!) ANNIVERSARY OF

EVENING HOURS IN MIDDLETOWN

WHEN: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 @ 4:00 pm

WHERE: Appoquinimink Library, 651 N. Broad Street, Middletown 19709

New Castle County Register of Wills Ciro Poppiti is pleased to announce a celebration of the Office’s 11th anniversary of Evening Hours in Middletown. The Office had planned to celebrate the 10th-anniversary last year but was postponed due to the pandemic.

The first Wednesday evening of every month for the past 11 years, the Register of Wills has been able to provide meaningful outreach to those below the Canal—opening estates, closing estates, and issuing of probate documents.

“Those who come to us for evening hours are so appreciative,” said Register Poppiti.  “They thank us for the convenience and accessibility at a time when their family is grappling with the death of a loved one.”

It is fitting that the celebration is occurring on April 6, as this will be the last evening hours at the 651 N. Broad Street, Middletown, Delaware location.  Evening hours will continue at the County’s new Middletown library on Route 299 and S. Catherine Street, Middletown, Delaware 19709.

Register Poppiti thanks his staff and the County library staff for their combined efforts over the past 11 years.
