[ARCHIVED] NCCPD Canine Locates Missing Adult

New Castle County Police Canine “Monty” and handler Corporal Steven Donahue recently located a 38-year-old male who fled from his residence located in Pine Valley Apartments.

At approximately 11 a.m. Saturday, New Castle County Police officers including Corporal Donahue and his canine “Monty,” responded to the Pine Valley Apartment Complex in reference to a missing adult. Officers learned the male had fled the residence, in an unknown direction. His medical status was such that there was a genuine concern for his welfare.

Canine Monty was able to track the missing man through the apartment complex and onto Schaffer Boulevard. The man was found walking on Schaffer Boulevard.

He was then transported to the hospital for treatment.
