New Castle, DE – New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer today that beginning September 11, New Castle County Libraries will expand hours of library service to include Sundays.
The Appoquinimink, Bear, Brandywine Hundred, Hockessin, Kirkwood, Newark, Route 9, and Woodlawn libraries will resume Sunday hours and will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“I am pleased to be able to continue the expansion of library hours to pre-pandemic levels,” said County Executive Matthew Meyer. “Resuming service on Sundays will ensure that more of our community members will be able to access our libraries’ resources and services. Patrons will be able to attend programs, check out materials, access information and technology, and use community spaces somewhere in the county every day of the week.”
