New Castle, DE – New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer today announced that $1m has been allocated to non-profits that support New Castle County’s vulnerable women and domestic abuse populations. Non-profits who wish to apply for a grant can click here to access the application.
“Because of more than two years of fighting this COVID-19 pandemic, many groups of County residents were more adversely impacted than others,” said County Executive Meyer. “People of color, both adults and children, and women were impacted the greatest.”
County Executive Meyer has released the following video to further explain the process.
The application process closes September 30, 2022.
The $1 million is part of a total of $9 million allocated for NCC-based non-profits from the county’s overall American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Non-profit representatives are encouraged to apply for specific programs that support these women and families. Applications will be reviewed for compliance with the federal funding requirements by New Castle County’s compliance partner, Grant Thornton. Additional grant opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
