The New Castle County Division of Police in collaboration with the New Castle County Council would like to invite the public to attend a Heroin Alert program. The program will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at William Penn High School, located at 713 East Basin Road New Castle, DE. 19720. The Heroin Alert presentation is facilitated by New Castle County Heroin Alert Coordinator Marie Allen.
This is a drug prevention program that illustrates the consequences of drug abuse in our communities. The program is continually updated due to the increase of heroin sales and use in the State of Delaware. Heroin Alert is an excellent way for individuals to educate themselves about the ongoing heroin abuse that is plaguing citizens across the country. Heroin Alert is appropriate for ages 12 and up. This presentation is free of charge.
County Executive Thomas P. Gordon, Chief Administrative Officer David Grimaldi, Public Safety Director Joseph Bryant, Jr., Colonel E.M. Setting and all County Government continue to support the Heroin Alert Program as an educational and preventive effort to stop the horrific devastation that heroin causes to families and communities. We would like to thank New Castle County Councilman George Smiley (District 7) for his assistance in coordinating Friday night’s presentation.
The Media and Public are Invited to Attend the Event.
