County Executive Tom Gordon has scheduled a meeting in the City of Wilmington to provide concrete examples of what kinds of beneficial services New Castle County provides to city residents.
The second half of the September 30 meeting will consist of the County’s Heroin Alert Program with Marie Allen.
“The City of Wilmington is the County Seat and the largest city in the State of Delaware,” County Executive Gordon said. “It is important for city residents to know that New Castle County never forgets that they are an important part of the County.”
The regional community meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 30 at P.S. duPont Middle School in Wilmington’s Ninth Ward. The meeting is open to the public.
“The focus of the first item on the agenda is City of Wilmington residents, but the content applies to residents of all of the incorporated municipalities within New Castle County,” said Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Samuel Guy, who organized the meeting. “The Heroin Alert Presentation is appropriate for everyone ages 12 and up.”
The meeting will include presentations from County departmental representatives to outline some of the important services provided by New Castle County that are available to City of Wilmington residents. Beginning at 7:15 p.m., Ms. Allen will then conduct her informative drug prevention program until 8 p.m.
