New Castle, Del. – County Executive Tom Gordon is pleased to announce that New Castle County will be submitting a new Consolidated Plan that outlines the use of federal housing funds for the years 2015 through 2019.
The Delaware State Housing Authority, the City of Wilmington, and the City of Dover will also submit new plans.
The plans are due to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) office by May 15, 2015. In addition to outlining federal housing funds, the Consolidated Plans identify priority housing needs, strategies, and goals for the next five years. Public Hearings, beginning in the month of November, and Citizen Participation through online surveys and interviews will frame the draft Consolidated Plan. The draft plans will be available for public comment in April.
The online survey was made available on October 14 and was scheduled to take input until November 18. It can be found at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DelawareCommunityNeedsSurvey.
