Pike Creek, Del. – County Executive Thomas P. Gordon invites New Castle County residents and visitors to attend “Sleep Under the Stars – A Spooky Fall Festival” scheduled for Saturday morning into Sunday morning at Carousel Park & Equestrian Center.
“Those looking to celebrate all things autumn can find everything they want at Carousel Park this weekend. We’ll have pumpkin painting, hay rides, bonfires, and scarecrow making,” County Executive Gordon said. “We’ll also show a spooky movie, the children’s flick, ‘Hotel Transylvania’, to help get you in the mood for the upcoming Halloween holiday.”
In addition, visitors to Carousel can learn a new line dance, dance to music, play games, , and enjoy the Kids Corral that features goats, donkeys, ponies, various birds, and other animals. Top it off with s'mores around the bonfire, and camp overnight in the park. Bring your own goodies for tent-to-tent trick-or-treating. Be sure to decorate your tent and wear your best costume.
Visitors to the park on Saturday for the annual fall camp-out are welcome to enjoy just the day’s events or set up their tents to camp out on a crisp, autumn night. Admission is free.
