New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon has ordered the closure of county offices today due to impending snowfall.
County Executive Gordon's action came shortly after Governor Markell decided to close down State of Delaware offices. A statewide Winter Weather Warning remains in effect until 7 p.m. this evening.
While the storm system is moving into Delaware later than originally expected, the National Weather Service forecast remains for 4 to 8 inches of snow in New Castle and Kent Counties, and 4 to 6 inches in Sussex County.
Essential personnel must still report.
