The Spring Sleep Under the Stars event held at Rockwood Museum & Park Saturday drew 1,200 people who enjoyed hayrides, face painting, dance instruction, bonfires, a camp out, and more.
New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon created Sleep Under the Stars as safe and fun way for county residents to enjoy their local parks. The Executive attended Saturday's events with family and friends. He was pleased with the turnout.
New Castle County's Department of Community Services plans to hold the next Sleep Under the Stars at Carousel Park & Equestrian Center in autumn.
