County Executive Tom Gordon ordered all flags at County buildings and facilities to be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, Sept. 11 in honor of the 3,000 souls who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks, which occurred 12 years ago.
Gordon’s order came in accordance with President Obama’s directive to have all American flags at all government buildings flown at half-staff on Wednesday in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 and in observance of Patriot Day and National Day of Service.
“On Wednesday we recall those Americans whose lives were cut short by the horrific events of September 11,” Gordon said.
