A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for the Tri-State area until midnight Eastern Standard Time Sunday, October 5 for high water levels along the Delaware Bay and upper Delaware River, according to the National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly, N.J. office.
The Nor’easter has progressed along the coast. The approach of Hurricane ?Joaquin? will not directly impact NCC; however, the lingering effects of the storm surge from this storm will prolong the Coastal Flood tide cycle for the next 3-4 days. A Coastal Flood Warning means that moderate tidal flooding is occurring or imminent.
Be prepared for rising water levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters; the water may be deeper than you think, putting yourself and loved ones in danger. Please be careful.
