    Bring your broken lamp, vacuum, waffle iron, or any one item that you can carry and work beside a volunteer experienced in repairs to fix it! Partnership with Lowe’s of Bear. Adults, Youth 10-17 with an Adult. There are certain items that we cannot accept at the Fix It Cafe. This includes gas-powered tools (eg lawn mowers) and complex electronic devices (eg laptops). Tell us what you are bringing to the Fix It Cafe so we can be sure we can help you repair it! Volunteers needed: The Fix-It Cafe relies on its volunteers to help residents fix their broken items.     Battles, bad-guys, heroes and innovators. Our local history is down-right thrilling! Join the many fans of these fun expert-led presentations to learn about the area’s super-interesting past and see related artifacts and objects. Each session concludes with a fun mini-quiz and prizes. Registration required. Ages 12-Adults. FREE. Nov. 21st "The Power of the Press: Newark Post founder Everett Johnson's influence on Newark". Mr. Johnson was a man out of time in amazing ways and sadly, quite literally. There are few who have dedicated and positively influenced so much and yet he is remembered by too few. Presented by Josh Shannon, Editor of the Newark Post.

  3. Park After Dark Full Moon Yoga at Glasgow Park

    Full Moon Yoga on each full moon throughout the fall and winter. Enjoy Glasgow Park at night, illuminated by the full moon. Yoga lasts 45 minutes. Dress warmly in comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. $5 drop-in fee per class. Registration required by emailing Colton.Turtoro@newcastlede.gov.
