MAKE ART WITH YOUR BIG KIDS

One 2-hour class. Caregivers and children come create art and memories together! In this class, we will be creating fun art that will feature seasonal or holiday themes (see list of projects below)! Additional $10 material fee. The cost of the class and material fee is for the caregiver and child. There must be at least one caregiver per child. Work on your project together (and only register for one person). If you each want to create your own piece, please register individually. Free Creative Art Saturday at The Art Studio

BATIK DYEING WEEK

Five 2-hour classes. Come and explore this ancient technique of painting on fabric. Batik is an Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. Batik uses layers of wax and dye to produce designs on fabric. Learn how to prepare your fabric, apply wax-resist, paint with dye and finish your piece. Leave with a beautiful one-of-a-kind scarf. Additional $25 material fee. Ages 16+

Four 2-hour classes. Learn watercolor techniques and how to apply them to a painting. Techniques include washes, brush work, glazing and color mixing. Practice each skill and combine them in a final project. Additional $30 material fee due to instructor. Ages 16+
