Four 2½-hour classes. This course teaches the basics of creating a collage, including materials, techniques, and composition tips. It covers creating unique artwork, altering collage papers, selecting suitable materials, avoiding collaging issues, best techniques, and designing artwork layouts. The course is part treasure hunt, part deconstruction and discovery, and part reconstruction and art-making, allowing participants to explore their unique artistic language and free themselves. This course offers a step-by-step guide to make collaging a successful and enjoyable experience. Participants will provide their own supplies. Ages 18+ Supply List: Glue sticks Pad of 9” x 12” Bristol Paper Scissors Old magazines/Junk mail/patterned paper/etc. Ruler Pencil? Eraser

One 1½-hour class. Give gifts in beautiful and reusable hand-dyed fabric. Learn about and create your own Furoshiki, traditional Japanese wrapping cloths used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. Explore the process of fabric dyeing to decorate your cloth. Each piece will be graced with subtle color changes and stunning contrasts. Lastly, learn wrapping techniques as the finishing touch. Additional $20 material fee. Ages 16+

Experiment with a variety of styles and techniques or focus on building skills in a supportive environment. Additional $20 material fee due to the instructor. Ages 16+

One 2-hour class. Spend the evening exploring your creative side! Create a set of beautiful votives adorned with pressed flowers and ferns. The instructor will walk everyone through the process step by step. All levels welcome! Additional $10 material fee. Ages 16+

One 6-hour class. Ready to experience something completely different? Learn how Mitch Lyons' unique printmaking process changed the way clay can be used. You will be working from a slab of clay, adding layers of colored clay slips, pastels, textures, and imagery. From this the monoprints will be pulled. Even if you’ve never worked with clay or know nothing about printmaking, you’ll be excited to learn how to pull your very own clay monoprints. All levels welcome. Additional $30 material fee. Ages 18+ Student supply list (optional): apron, cottage cheese/yogurt plastic containers for slip, any textures or stencils, etc. you would like to use.

With some basic art supplies and some easy techniques, using simple lines, shapes and repetitive patterns we will create small dynamic works of art, and maybe we can lift your mood, clear your mind and boost your creativity. Additional $10 material fee. Ages 16+

One 3-hour class. Learn to cut, grind, foil and solder your stained glass suncatcher using the Tiffany Style of stained glass (foil and solder method). No experience necessary. Additional $25 material fee. Ages 18+

One 2-hour class. First, build a functional pottery piece using introductory hand building techniques like slab rolling and pinching. Then, learn to decorate your piece using stamps and other decorative tools. Because pieces will need to be fired, participants will be notified when pieces are ready to be picked up. Materials are included in the cost of class. Ages 16+

One 3-hour class. Design a steampunk related pendent and matching earrings using UV resin and steampunk bits, gears, keys, etc. Includes move advanced resin techniques. Create pieces to give as a gift for someone special or yourself! Beginner to advanced. Materials included in cost of class. Ages 16+
