  1. Annual Christina River Watershed Cleanup

    Join hundreds of volunteers and help clean the single most important natural resource in our region! A solid effort is needed each year to keep each of these waterways as free from debris as possible while also improving wildlife habitat. Do you have a few hours to spend along Naamans Creek in northern Delaware? How about you and your coworkers volunteering near I-95 within Churchmans Marsh? What about a little time working near White Clay Creek, in Delaware or Pennsylvania?

  2. Middle Run Valley Tree Planting

    April 6, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    We need your help to plant 600 trees at Middle Run Natural Area! All you need is your muscles and your enthusiasm! Dig holes, plant, cage, and water up to 600 trees. Bring shovels, gloves, and a water container (bucket or gal milk jug). This event is appropriate for individuals, families, friends, scouts, and all other groups. Children are welcome but each child MUST be accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments provided. Rain or shine. All ages. FREE Delaware Nature Society has coordinated a major reforestation project at Middle Run since 1991. To date the project has accomplished planting more than 55,000 trees, enhancing biodiversity, and improving the quality of the watershed.

    Trails in this park are not paved and are somewhat hilly. There are many trails of various lengths throughout this beautiful natural area. If you are looking for a moderate workout in a gorgeous setting and a way to get those 10,000 steps in, this is the Walking Club for you. Open to all ages!
