Live Healthy New Castle County

    Ready to start hiking? Join the Club! Bring a friend and make a friend or two. Teaming up with others increases your motivation and helps you gain all the health benefits that come with regular hiking. Free, but registration is required. Trails in this park are not paved and are somewhat hilly. There are many trails of various lengths throughout this beautiful natural area. If you are looking for a moderate workout in a gorgeous setting and a way to get those 10,000 steps in, this is the Hiking Club for you. Open to all ages! Meet at the parking lot off of Possum Hollow Road promptly at 9 a.m. Possum Hollow Road is just off of Possum Park Road. Traveling on Possum Park Road from Kirkwood Highway, turn right onto Possum Hollow Road. Follow back to just before the gate to Tri-state Bird Rescue. Turn left into the park (see the Live Healthy NCC feather flag) and follow the gravel road back about 1/2 mile to the parking area New Castle County, Department of Community Services
