    Four 2-hour virtual classes. Learn fundamental painting techniques and create a painting from still life, landscapes or colorful abstraction. Explore safe practices and technique for painting with oil. Students will receive a list of materials they are asked to purchase on their own prior to the start of class.   3. VIRTUAL FIBER ARTS

    We will explore the many ways of creating art with different fibers. Students will make small weaving, sewing and embroidery projects. Open to all levels. Garfield Park Recreational Center

  1. Neighborhood Walk and Stretch

    Instructor: Andrew Holtz, Prime U Fitness This 60 minute class is geared to those seeking cardio exercise while enjoying local scenery. In this class walkers will focus on proper warm up, cool down and walk technique while exploring the local neighborhood. The participants should wear comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing.   1. Outdoor Yoga in Nature at Glasgow Park

    This weekly class is geared for people who are looking for an emphasis on anatomy and how to best move their body to minimize pain and increase ease of movement in everyday life. Bring your own yoga mat, two yoga blocks, small blanket or towel and water bottle. Social distancing should be practiced in combination with other everyday preventive actions to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including wearing masks, avoiding touching your face with unwashed hands, and frequently washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Rockwood

  1. Outdoor Nature Colors at Rockwood Park

    Participants will choose a color swatch (provided) that matches something found in nature (e.g., sky, grass, plants, etc.). Participants will draw and color an item they see in the Park that matches their swatch and write a poem or words that go with their theme. Objective is to combine color, art, nature and writing. Instructor: Donna L. Downs, Former Art Teacher Meet your instructor, Donna Downs, in the courtyard of the Visitor's Entrance to the museum. In the event of rain, program will be held in the covered patio area of the Museum. Social distancing and face masks required. Pre-registration required. Brief COVID form and temperature checks will be done prior to the start of class. AGE: 6 AND UP
