Yappy Hour at Rockwood Park

In partnership with the Wilmington Brew Works, Rockwood and its friend’s group, the Rockwood Park Preservation Society (RPPS), will host a monthly happy hour gathering for lovers of dogs, beers, and live music. Dogs have always been present in Rockwood and have made some of the estate’s most memorable inhabitants. The whole park is open and the events will include scavenger hunts for kids and families, descriptions of Rockwood’s “best friends” as well as hand-made dog toy workshops. Cash bar-bring a snack! All sales support Rockwood’s ongoing preservation efforts.

Zumba® at the Whitehall Rec Center

Zumba Fitness is a program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. It incorporates interval training alternating fast and slow rhythms to help improve cardiovascular fitness. Zumba Toning uses lightweight toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs and thighs. It combines body sculpting exercises and high energy cardio work to create a calorie-torching, strength-training fitness party. $6 drop in fee per class . Adults
